Jean Headshot

Hi, I’m Jean! I would like to provide a safe place for you to talk about the things that are challenging you and keeping you from feeling connected and cared for. I want to hear your story and help you move through challenges and celebrate your strengths. I want to help you get to know yourself better, find ways of coping with difficulties, and move toward a life where you can thrive.

Although I use many types of therapeutic approaches to counseling, my go-to therapy style is Narrative Therapy.  In this approach, you get to tell your story and I will listen. I want to help you look at your story and see the strength and resilience that has gotten you this far, and I want to help you uncover areas you may have felt powerless to change. Whether you need to delve into your past or just work on getting out the door in the morning, I am here to help you find the inner strength and resources you need to feel more whole and connected.

I know it can be a challenge to find a counselor at all, let alone one that is a good fit for you! Please feel free to call me for a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. We all need someone we can talk to who we feel really “gets” us on a deep level. I want that for you, whether it is with me or another therapist.

I am finishing up my Master’s degree and preparing to become a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC). When you work with me, you get the benefit of my own experience of providing counseling, as well as the feedback and support provided by my supervisor. It has been my dream for a long time to become a therapist and am so grateful that I have the opportunity to do so. I value connecting with people on a deep level and feel that the work we do as therapists is a privilege I do not take lightly. Thank you for trusting me with your story.

My specialties: Adult individuals, and older adults. I have specialized experience in parenting, life transitions, loss, faith, cultural challenges, gender, grief, existential questions, dying, illness, relationship challenges, loneliness.
Credentials: Graduate Student Intern from George Fox University
