Hi, I’m Tristan!
Even before starting my training to be a therapist, I’ve always been drawn to supporting others, especially in moments when life feels uncertain or heavy. My background includes connecting people with services and resources they need, including service members and veterans seeking care and community. Those experiences taught me that healing begins when we feel genuinely seen and supported, and that’s what I hope to offer you in therapy.
As a student therapist, I’m early in my clinical journey, but my commitment to this work runs deep. I entered this field because I believe in the power of therapy. Not just as a place to talk, but as a space to grow, understand yourself, and find renewed strength.
Society is changing rapidly, and so are the challenges people face. The fact that more people are seeking mental health support is inspiring to me. It means we’re collectively realizing that caring for our emotional health is an act of courage, not weakness.
My Approach
I work from a person-centered foundation, meaning our sessions are guided by you. My goal is to create an atmosphere of trust, authenticity, and collaboration, where you feel safe to explore your experiences and empowered to discover what healing and growth look like for you.
When working with couples and families, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help identify the emotional patterns and cycles that keep people feeling stuck or disconnected. Together, we’ll practice new ways of communicating and relating so that closeness and understanding can begin to grow again.
What to Expect
In our work together, you can expect genuine curiosity, compassion, and a steady presence. I strive to bring warmth and honesty to every session, because I believe that real change happens when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves, messiness, humor, and all!
