Hi, I am Quinlan!

I believe that you deserve a space where your experiences are met with curiosity, care, and without judgement. Through a collaborative effort, therapy is a place for you to be seen and heard. My practice philosophy is that through honesty and compassion, people can feel encouraged to grow, explore, and heal, no matter what challenges they face.

I found my calling as a therapist through my own curiosity of understanding people in a deeper way. I embody an Emotion Focused Therapy lens, which means I work with you to name emotions, understand how emotions impact relationships, and guide you to strengthen and foster deeper connections with others. As a student intern, I am dedicated to learning from each client experience, and will show up with humility and a commitment to my own growth. I gravitate toward a client-centered approach, understanding that you are the expert of your experiences. Through this I will hold a space of empathy, respect, and sincerity as I learn about who you are and the experiences you have faced. I value your culture, identity, and worldviews and encourage open communication in session.

I am currently a graduate student attending George Fox University and am pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. Through my personal work I have had experiences working with young children and hope to become certified as a Play Therapist.

As a therapist, my longterm goal is to work alongside dogs in session, one day utilizing Animal Assisted Therapy in my practice. I have dreams of collaborating with local non-profits, rescuing and training dogs to one day become support dogs for other therapists. I hope to not only fulfill a need for Support Dogs in session, but to also help dogs find homes in which they are loved and needed. As an individual I feel a deep connection to animals, and outside of school or work I am typically at the dog park! I believe that healing can also happen through our relationships with animals, and personally have experienced my own growth through my two dogs.

My specialties: Teens, Adults, Families, Couples, Children, LGBTQIA+, and all genders
Credentials: Graduate Student Intern from George Fox University
