Daniell

Hi, I’m Daniell!

I look at therapy and the values of my clients through an intersectional lens. I believe that no matter a person’s socioeconomic status and/or race/ethnicity, all are deserving of access to quality mental health care. I work from a systems perspective, which allows for a more flexible understanding of my clients and will help me better support them. For couples and families, I have found that the best theoretical approach would be to use a mix of the Gottman Method and emotional-focused therapy.

I am currently a student in the Marriage, Couples and Families Master’s program at George Fox University in  Portland, Oregon. I received my BA in Applied Arts and Science with a distinction in psychology at San Diego State University. I moved to Oregon 5 years ago and am loving every day and experience I have made. I love all types of animals, music, and the positive effects they both have on people. I am trained in QPR and other suicide prevention methods.

My specialties: Systems Theory, Gottman Method, Informed Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Therapy (CBT), Social Justice Lens, Anti-racist, Anti-Oppressive Practice, Gender Affirming Care, Trauma Informed Practice. Individuals, Adults, Teens.
